Biography
Taynara Alcântara Cangussú is a Ph.D. candidate in Teaching and Learning (Language, Literacy, Literature, and Culture) at Florida International University (FIU). Originally from Brazil, she is a tenured professor at the Federal Institute of Paraná (IFPR), where she has worked as a Portuguese and English teacher, coordinated a Language Center, and served as an International Affairs representative. She holds a master's degree in Portuguese Language Acquisition and has extensive experience in language education, teacher development, and multilingual education. Her current research focuses on translanguaging, bilingual education, multilingual learners, teachers' translanguaging stances, and the integration of artificial intelligence in educational contexts. Her work explores how AI can support more equitable, inclusive, and linguistically sustaining teaching and learning practices.
